Senior Capital Project Manager
Location: London
Rate: £500 - £550 per day

Overview:
We are recruiting for a Senior Capital Project Manager to oversee and manage a Major Capital/Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) Works Programme Framework. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of Housing Services and Building Safety Capital/PPM Projects, managing projects to completion on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contract Administration/Management: Act as a Project Manager and Client Agent, making informed decisions to ensure projects are executed as per contract requirements.
- Programme Management: Oversee a programme of capital and PPM works to the council’s housing stock, ensuring compliance with contract conditions, adherence to budgets, and meeting timetables.
- Leadership: Manage and lead staff within the partnering team, ensuring effective programme delivery and high performance.
- Strategic Role: Play a crucial part in the strategic planning and execution of Housing Services and Building Safety’s annual investment programme, valued at £50 million.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with construction partners and their supply chains to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all projects meet specified high standards of quality and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project performance, ensuring all GLA targets are met.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a senior project management role, specifically within capital projects and housing stock management.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and management within Local Authority.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale budgets and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to manage a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of building safety and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
