Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading timber manufacturing company based in North Ayrshire who supply the UK and Irish markets with product for construction, pallet wood and fencing industries.
The Operations Manager will play a vital part in managing and co-ordinating activities, minimising downtime and driving improvements.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of Timber Frame, you will be responsible for:
* Leading operations manufacturing and/or support functions on site.
* Managing the project teams, developing and implementing change within the plant.
* Maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring all H&S policies and procedures are adhered too.
* Building working relationships with all departments.
* Ensure all product manufacture procedures are fully implanted and in line with regulatory expectations
* Ensure all personnel are trained appropriately to carry out role.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* 5 years experience working at similar level within a manufacturing facility
* Ability to engage with design teams ensuring manufacturing is optimised.
* Timber frame and roof truss experience is advantageous.
