Are you a detail-oriented, organised, passionate legal professional looking to make a real impact? Join our team as a Paralegal!
This position is crucial to support the in-house Legal Team who deal with a range of matters for our business including property, commercial, procurement and various other faculties for our wider Crematorium and Funeral divisions. The day-to-day can be incredibly varied so this is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining a wide range of experience across multiple disciplines. 
The role will initially have a large focus on legal administration in regard to property and will encompass a wide variety of tasks depending on the ever-changing needs of the business. 
Here is what a typical day could look like for you:

Maintain and update property records and databases, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Support the Legal Team with due diligence processes, including reviewing documents, preparing first draft legal documents, and handling sensitive data.
Reviewing title deeds and other legal documents including leases, licences, and commercial contracts.
Liaise with external solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate property transactions.
Collate key documents and store them safely within in-house database systems, drafting letters, internal notes and memos and taking minutes during meetings. 
Conducting research on a wide range of legal, commercial, and historic matters, including assisting with due diligence for freehold property disposals, producing replies to Commercial Property Standard Enquiries and completing Property Information Forms.

This role is ideal for a candidate who:

Ideally, with experience working as a Paralegal or in a related legal support role, we are open to considering recent Graduates.
A Degree in Law (minimum 2:1) or Graduate Diploma in Law (minimum commendation) or prior demonstratable experience as a Paralegal, Legal Administrator or Legal Secretary.
Experience in managing case files, including organising and maintaining legal documents.
Provided administrative support to wider stakeholders, including scheduling meetings, and handling ad-hoc queries and correspondence.
Demonstrated understanding of software packages such as Microsoft Office and database systems to maintain records and client information.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and service providers.
Good commercial awareness, business acumen and desire to learn and understand Dignity’s wider needs.
An eye for detail and ability to ensure accuracy and completeness.
