adi Group Sales Performance Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Sales Performance Director to join our executive team as a key member of the main board. This senior role, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, is crucial in driving sales and growth initiatives across our portfolio of 17 companies. The Group Sales Management Director will work closely with the 14 Managing Directors and their respective Sales Managers/Directors (presently a team of 12), focusing predominantly on providing guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance the performance of individual team members and elevate the overall sales effectiveness of both the individual organisations and the Group as a whole.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

* Sales Performance : Whilst the MDs are ultimately accountable for the sales performance of their respective companies, the performance of the Group Sales Performance Director will be measured by the impact their input and work has on the sales performance of both the Group and the individual companies.
* Sales Strategy: Collaborate with Managing Directors to develop and refine comprehensive sales strategies tailored to each company's unique market position and objectives within the engineering services sector.
* Business Planning: Assist in the creation and implementation of robust business plans, ensuring alignment with overall group goals and market opportunities.
* Sales Plans: Oversee the formulation of detailed sales plans, including target setting, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
* Training : Conduct training sessions to equip MDs and their sales representatives with essential skills and knowledge.
* Mentorship: Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to Managing Directors and their sales teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in sales practices.
* Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment that promotes sharing of best practices, innovative ideas, and successful strategies among the companies.
* Sales Execution: Handle select high-value accounts or strategic sales opportunities that require senior-level engagement. Identifying and implementing improvements in the current sales process to increase efficiency and effectiveness across all companies.
* Personal Sales: Whilst 90% of this role is dedicated to leadership and mentoring MDs and their teams in sales growth, it is expected that the individual will undertake occasional self-delivered opportunity development (sales) for key or critical opportunities.
