We have a new opportunity for External Sales Engineer - Industrial Controls and Automation to join our team at our CDL division located at the BPX branch in Rothley (LE7 7PJ). We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person to join our friendly team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Job purpose
As a member of our RCS team, you will be responsible for handling customer enquiries, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. By utilising your excellent interpersonal skills, you will develop long-term relationships with our customers ensuring that their requirements and business needs are interpreted and handled quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
* Conduct thorough needs assessments and provide expert technical advice to deliver customised
* solutions.
* Present and demonstrate our products effectively to showcase their value and capabilities.
* Work closely with our Manufacturing Partners to ensure solutions are implemented seamlessly.
* Prepare and submit detailed proposals, quotations, and solutions.
* Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the company's ongoing success.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Proven experience in external sales within the industrial controls and automation sector.
* Strong Sales knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, HMI's, VSD's, and automation
* technologies.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective solutions.
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
* Willingness to travel daily to meet clients and support sales activities.
