The Senior Project Development Engineer role comes with a salary up to �55,000 + �6000 car allowance + additional benefits including 17.5% bonus.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sustainable Technology, you will:
* Drive the creation of proposals for new expansion opportunities in the sorting and recycling sector (e.g., plastic recycling, glass recycling) by collaborating with internal Subject Matter Experts and the supply chain.
* Use process expertise to design new facility concepts, including Process Flow Diagrams, and collaborate with supply chain and plant designers.
* Oversee the technical designs of new recycling facilities, including developing concept technical solutions and costings.
* Write Requests for Quotations, evaluate proposals from suppliers, and ensure the feasibility of designs. Secure performance guarantees from suppliers by engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
* Use strong knowledge of market dynamics for recyclables and similar products, with the ability to analyse demand and supply, establish relationships with off-takers, and negotiate commercial deals.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Experience within an engineering background (i.e., processing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering)
* A proficiency in financial modelling, such as IRR, NPV, OpEx, CapEx, and EBITDA, with an understanding of sensitivity analysis and commercial engineering aspects.
* Experience working in a material handing industry such as waste/recycling, aggregates, FMCG, etc.
* Strong business analyst and project management skills.

* Has strong communication skills and an ability to deliver clear and concise presentations to stakeholders.
* Able to take initiative.
