THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu.We are delighted to announce the start of our recruitment for THE PIG – and The Village Pub and are seeking for a Restaurant Supervisor to support our restaurant service.The Role:For our Restaurant Supervisor, each day at THE PIG is never the same. Working closely with our kitchen team to deliver a daily changing menu, you will gain inspiration from serving seasonal produce grown within our own kitchen garden and sourced by local suppliers all within a 25mile radius of the hotel. As Supervisor you will play a key role in encouraging our Waiting Staff to develop their skills, you will lead by example and set the tone for a relaxed and informal restaurant service.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Take orders and serve food and oversee the efficiency of service sections within the restaurant.Provide a detailed service with a relaxed and informal approach.Lead by example, supporting the development of our Waiting StaffEncourage an attention to detailed service.Understanding of dietary requirements.Preparing and clearing of tables, ensuring the restaurant is kept well presented.Excellent communication with both the team and guests, having a caring & considered approach in all that you do.Report to and fulfil additional responsibilities assigned by the Restaurant Manager and/or Assistant Restaurant Manager.Skills & Experience:Previous experience as Restaurant Supervisor and/or Head Waiter in a hotel, restaurant or similar environment is required.
