We are currently looking for a Community Development Worker to join our dynamic and passionate team in the heart of Hertfordshire. Immerse yourself in a role that makes a real difference!

As a Community Development Worker, you will primarily be home-based with travel around Hertfordshire. You'll be responsible for promoting POhWER (this will require planning, and attending events), supporting advocacy drop-ins and groups, and training individuals to self-advocate. You'll also develop and mentor a team of volunteers to help in these initiatives. Engaging deeply with diverse voluntary organisations, and statutory services, your role will be to build and maintain good relationships with our partners, foster community engagement and promote the support POhWER offers.

Hours of Work: Full-time: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

Community Development Worker Requirements:

* Proven experience in community engagement and relationship development.
* Proven experience of planning and running events to promote services
* Strong background in advocacy, information, or a similar role, preferably in health, social care, or voluntary sectors.
* Excellent understanding of public and voluntary organisations.
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, with geographical knowledge of the local area.
* Passionate about promoting the support of vulnerable adults and driven by shared values in advocacy.

Community Development Worker Benefits:

* Salary: �23,088.00 - �23,929 per annum, dependent on experience
