 Job Title: Event Manager (North)Location:  NorthSalary: Up to £35,000 DOEHours: 40 - adaptability is essential due to the potential for alterations and the necessity for unconventional working hours to meet the demands of events. First Response Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal to our operational success and is designed to strengthen the relationship between our clients and our organisation.The Event Manager will oversee all facets of the events in their area, including security staff and daily operational challenges that affect the contract during their event. They will serve as a primary contact for the development of service delivery, performance evaluation, measurement, and consolidated reporting. This role is crucial to the team’s operational triumph and is needed to fortify the relationship between the client and the First Response Group by providing a single point of operational oversight. Key Responsibilities:Oversee the strategy and operational planning of any event they overseeWorking in accordance with the client’s regulations, processes, and procedures and under the direction of your line management, ensure the safety and security of the premises is maintained as well as protecting its employees, assets, and its visitors.Complete reports & record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activitiesEnsure compliance with government regulationsDirecting the activities of employees engaged in providing security for your EventWork closely with the management team to help project, drive and grow the Events Division.Financially manage aspects of Events, where appropriate, including budget requirements for the event and staff, quotations to clients, costing models and invoicing.Review and define event policies and procedures, maintaining consistency, and respond to changes in legislation, trends, and local processesProvide strategic advice on client and customer event support when required, and work in partnership with service partners and customers’ representativesTo manage the personnel working in relation to the relevant Event and take responsibility for the professional conduct of the teamEnsure, with support, that all staff work in safe conditions, acting upon all reports of accidents and faults and that staff carry out their duties in accordance with procedures and policies.Ensure that all equipment is managed, used, monitored and reported defective in accordance with policies and procedures; and that it is lawful, safe, and efficient and all supplies and consumables are recordedTo have a full working knowledge and the ability to monitor all client security technologies, systems and procedures, supervising the operation of, and instructing on complex equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including but not limited to fire alarms, CCTV cameras, perimeter alarm systems & access & egress systems.Ensure there are sufficient officers to cover designated duties. Brief and debrief to ensure officers are fully conversant with their role, current issues and current SOPs’, maintaining good order and discipline throughout. Person Specific:Proven Background in event management with experience in providing event solutionsAt least 3 years’ experience in operational management including leadership and team managementAbility to demonstrate proactive and innovative thinking and introducing this to the workplaceFinancial awareness and understanding for providing and supporting event security.Knowledge of event legislation and associated individual licensing.Essential Requirements:Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.right to work in the UK.Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documents supporting any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part time education.Experience of working in a similar role in high profile/high footfall environmentsEqual Opportunity Employer:FRG is an equal opportunity employer, promoting diversity and inclusion.Join FRG, where your skills make a difference in a workplace that values professionalism and innovation.
