An opportunity is available for a Records Assistants within the Streetworks Team based at Swansea.

In this role you will provide specialist streetworks administrative support services to National Grid reporting to the Streetworks Team Leader.

You will need to have at least 4 GCSEs OR equivalent in order to apply. 

Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.

If you are offered a position, you will be required to successfully complete a basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions.

Main Responsibilities
Issuing compliant streetworks notices & permits and associated notifications in the relevant system on behalf of the operational teams
Being a point of contact for National Grid’s operational teams, to provide guidance and support on streetworks matters
Liaising with Highway Authorities regarding any aspect of National Grid’s streetworks activities
Liaising with National Grid’s contractors regarding streetworks activities and performance
Dealing with non-compliances issued by Highway Authorities, including inspections, fixed penalty notices and overrun charges
Raising and paying invoices
Updating systems to ensure all data is recorded accurately
Providing any other information as may relate to streetworks, as requested.
Attending internal or external meetings to represent the National Grid Streetworks team
Assisting with any internal training as required


Although this position is primarily based within the Streetworks Team, you may be required to assist in any of the other Records sections as required.
The Ideal CandidateYou will have experience of working as an administrator ideally in street works and be able to explain the requirements to others. You must be customer focused, self-motivated and have excellent verbal and written communication skills which will be required when dealing with both internal and external contacts.

You must be reliable, well organised and be able to work as part of a small team using your own initiative
