This role is a temporary position with flexible hours to meet business needs to cover tutor absence and periods of need. The temporary Vocational Tutor will be responsible for the covering classroom delivery, delivering a range of the vocational subjects which form part of the Study Programme for 16–18-year-olds. The Tutor will be a dynamic individual who is able to develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, while motivating them and maintaining standards of effort and conduct.
They will effectively manage the classroom and learners, to ensure learners are making progress through the programme, against specific qualifications ensuring adequate support and stretching and challenging activities, whilst also supporting personal objectives such as confidence and career progression.
This role is for classroom-based delivery of subjects to include but not limited to Level 2 Diploma/Certificates in Health and Social Care and Customer Service.
The safety and welfare of children is paramount to SCL, all applicants will be subject to thorough background checks to ensure their suitability to work with children. These will include, but are not limited to; reference checks, police checks, DBS checks and qualification checks.
