Project Manager – Hire, Oxford

Monday to Friday 42 hours per week, 8am – 5pm

Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for delivering exceptional results on-site? Do you excel in overseeing complex operations while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance? If so, we want you to join our team at Speedy Hire as our new Project Manager - Hire.

As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects run smoothly from start to finish. Your expertise will be key in driving project success, maintaining high standards, and ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within budget.

What You'll Do:


Oversee daily site operations to ensure work is being carried out according to the project plan and specifications and ensure that all activities on-site are aligned with the project schedule. 
Ensure that all health and safety regulations and standards are strictly followed on-site and conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.  
Monitor the quality of work being performed on-site to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications and implement quality assurance processes and address any issues or defects promptly. 
Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including labour, equipment, and materials to ensure that the necessary resources are available on-site to prevent delays.  
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors and provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.  
Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from the project plan.  
Track the progress of on-site activities against the project schedule and milestones, prepare and submit daily or weekly progress reports to senior management. 
Ensure that all work on-site is carried out in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and contractual obligations and verify that any changes or modifications are documented and approved.
Budget Control:  Monitor on-site expenditures and manage the project budget effectively and report any potential budget overruns and implement measures to control costs
Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily logs, timesheets, and material receipts along with ensuring that all project documentation is properly filed and accessible.  
Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors to ensure they meet their contractual obligations and conduct regular meetings with subcontractors to review progress and address any issues.  
Identify potential risks and hazards on-site and develop mitigation strategies and monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.  
Ensure that all on-site activities comply with environmental regulations and standards and implement practices to minimize the environmental impact of the project.  
Client Interaction:  Ensure that the client's requirements and expectations are met or exceeded and address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly and professionally.  


What you’ll need:


Proven track record of managing multiple onsite projects simultaneously, from initiation to completion within the tool hire or construction industry
Strong background in building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
Proven ability to manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial targets are met.
Commercially astute and performance focused to ensure people strategy is inline to support company growth
