We are currently on the lookout for a Work Consultant to join us at Get Set on a fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave. There will be a possibility of extension.
This is a hybrid role, with work from home, travel around the Essex area, and working in the Basildon office once or twice a month. Due to the travel aspect of the role, a Drivers License and Car are essential.
As a Work Consultant, you will manage a diverse caseload, helping clients with learning disabilities and neurodiverse conditions overcome barriers to secure and sustain meaningful employment. Your role involves creating personalized action plans, addressing challenges, and fostering inclusive practices within the workplace. By empowering individuals through targeted support and advocating for their needs, you will play a crucial role in reducing unemployment, promoting economic growth, and creating inclusive communities.

Your Impact:

Client Support: Provide personalized advice and support to adults with learning disabilities and neurodiverse conditions, helping them develop skills and secure employment.
Case Management: Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring each receives tailored guidance and support.
Barrier Identification: Identify and address current barriers to employment, offering full assistance to both clients and their employers.
Action Plans: Develop and implement action plans to help clients overcome challenges and improve their job readiness.
Employer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with employers to promote inclusive practices and support client integration into the workforce.
Advocacy: Advocate for clients to ensure their needs and strengths are recognized and accommodated in the workplace.
Holistic Support: Assess needs through consistent interactions with clients, families, and support groups, offering a comprehensive approach.
Information and Guidance: Provide high-quality information about employment benefits and support clients in understanding the benefits system.
Training and Awareness: Assist in job readiness and create awareness among employers about equal opportunities and inclusive practices.

Technology: Proficiency with data management systems and modern communication tools.
