A newly created role working for a rapidly growing national wholesaler and reporting into the H&S Director. The business serves independent retail, wholesale, national retail, vending, and foodservice markets, with approximately 30,000 customers across 30+ nationwide depots. This will be a home-based contract and you'll be expected to travel nationally.
The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
* Overseeing day-to-day health & safety tasks ensuring compliance with regulations
* Liaising with site SHEQ and Operations Managers to achieve a strong health & safety culture.
* Managing and overseeing the new online compliance system.
* Dealing with risks associated with high racking, manual handling and pedestrian vehicle interaction.
The Health & Safety Advisor will have:
* Flexibility to travel nationally.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Health & Safety experience in a logistics or distribution environment (desirable).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
