Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will have the overall responsibility for overseeing the Governance & Compliance team (currently 4 direct reports) and ensuring the team’s adherence to the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR15) and the implementation and adoption of the new Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), Government PPN’s/ NHS England initiatives and directives.You will be passionate about your role and motivated to ensure that we deliver value to our client, internal and external stakeholders. We require an expert in Public Procurement, to provide advice and guidance to support to the commercial teams and wider NHS Supply Chain Food colleagues. Key Responsibilities:Lead a team of Governance Specialists (currently 3 & 1 Junior Buyer) who are responsible for running tendering activity to put Agreements in place for our food categories that support the growth of the food category to deliver value to our customers whilst ensuring we comply to the requirements set out under the current PCR 15.
