By managing data comprehensively, sourcing energy sustainably and reducing carbon efficiently, we allow our clients to control costs effectively, make authentic ESG disclosures, improve their business performance, whilst powering their journey to net zero.This role is ideally suited to a career minded, ambitious individual who is looking for that unique opportunity to prove what they can do and then be rewarded for it.We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our successful Public Services Team. Role and ResponsibilitiesTo support the effective and compliant management of procurement, contract and spend compliance for a range of utilities and energy solutions categories. This is to be delivered to CIPS and Public Sector best practice standards.To operate in a key role to support the development and operation of existing and future compliant routes to market alongside our team of energy and public services experts.The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Keep up to date and share latest changes with public services procurement policies/regulations, governance, supplier risk, assurance.Support and manage end-to-end tender activities, such as mini/further-competitions, bespoke tenders, and frameworks.To provide timely support ensuring our customers and internal stakeholders have the information needed to enable them to deliver their energy procurement.To work closely with Inspired’s Supplier Relationship Manager and Public Services Division to ensure contract compliance, risks/opportunities are identified and updating relevant stakeholders.Ensure supplier performance is tracked, analysed, and reported on in line with agreed SLAs/KPIs.Able to develop effective relationships with both colleagues, suppliers, and customers, with the ability to clearly communicate your thoughts and ideas, instilling confidence, and credibility with your stakeholders.Contribute towards the development of procurement tools and processes.To collaborate and advise the Public Services Account Management team with various procurement related activities.To help ensure that the function operates consistently and effectively in the implementation and application of legislative procedures and policies including the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and any future iteration thereof: i.e., the new Procurement Act 2023 which takes effect from February 2025.To work closely with Inspired’s Supplier Relationship Manager, ensuring third party providers of services to the public sector are operating to agreed standards and to obtain feedback and market intelligence to help inform development and continuous improvement of products, services, and risk mitigation activitiesTo keep up to date with policy, technology and product development opportunities appropriate to our customers’ delivery of energy management, procurement, and decarbonisation activities.To take an active role in Inspired’s public procurement processes and procurement portal administration including drafting and publication of tender documents as required.To upload and update information in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, providing reports and information.Ensure services are delivered in line with relevant legislation and Inspired policies including those relating to social value, equality and diversity, customer service, health, and safety.To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the postRead and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.Experience and QualificationsEssential:         Experience of public procurement and a sound working knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.Awareness of Procurement Act 2023.Experience running end to end tenders.Proven ability in managing internal/external challenges with successful outcomes in previous roles.Experience working in a customer-focused environment.Knowledge of procurement life cycle and contract management requirements.Comfortable in providing advice and information to stakeholders (e.g., customers or colleagues) on procurement related matters.Desirable: CIPS qualified or working towards.Energy sector knowledge.Working knowledge or experience with Supplier Relationship Management Processes.Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.Experience working in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment liaising with colleagues across a range of different teams.Aware of the policy environment surrounding procurement (public and commercial), including relevant legislation and compliance principles.What we offerTraining and development opportunitiesCompany pensionFlexible work hoursSharesave schemeLife insurance4pm finish on FridayIf you are interested in the role and would like to be considered, please apply now and a member of our In House Recruitment Team will be in touch.
