As our Technical Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive Level 2 Support focusing primarily on software, while also addressing hardware issues. Your typical day will involve assisting UK & Ireland Field Service Engineers and our own internal customer helpdesk. Responsibilities include managing technical escalations, leveraging our bespoke remote device management platform to enhance resolution efficiency, and conducting technical analyses to pioneer service improvement programs. Your insight will directly shape the advancements in our hardware and software solutions, ensuring excellence in our operational framework.

Hours of Work: Full-time, office-based position with standard working hours,

Technical Support Specialist Requirements:

* Supporting software and electro-mechanical hardware in a support environment.
* HNC / HND / Degree qualified in a software related field, and electro-mechanical engineering.
* Familiarity with the Windows & Linux command line and batch / bash scripting.
* Understanding of common network cryptography / security technologies.
* Coding experience would be useful, but language not important (python / .net / java).
* Wide Area and Local Area Network experience.
* Computer and database literacy.
* Experience of writing and preparing training material and implementing training plans to roll out appropriate courses.
