Project EngineerLocation: SouthamptonSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 & a range of excellent employee benefitsOnsite – 8am-5pm Monday-Friday with weekend and OOH work requiredSodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our established team working with our clients based in Southampton and supporting other sites in the region.Joining our team at their head office site, you will be responsible for managing and delivering all technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects and support the client by ensuring all technical specifications are met and that the projects adhere to the client’s requirements and standards by planning, scheduling, predicting and managing technical tasks to ensure projects are completed accurately with the appropriate resources and maintaining quality from start to finish.The Project Engineer will ensure that all projects adhere to Health, Safety and Environment standards, statutory requirements and engineering best practices including oversight of contractor compliance, implement quality control processes for engineering work, ensuring that all outputs meet the required standards & specifications and identify potential risks related to the technical aspects of the project and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.You will work closely with third-party contractors to ensure that their engineering work aligns with project goals and client expectations, maintain accurate records of all technical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with both Sodexo’s and the client’s processes & procedures whilst providing technical guidance and acting as a central point of contact for project works,ensuring alignment with SSOW & RAMS and facilitating decision-making for clients.Establishing effective communication channels between Project Management, the business and Supply Partner community to enhance overall function effectiveness, you will assist the wider Sodexo teams in strategic support, including project pipeline development, impact assessment and grouping projects for optimal value and safety outcomes.About YouExperience and knowledge requirement for this role:Significant experience in managing engineering projects, ideally in a corporate or facilities management environmentDemonstrable track record of delivering a broad portfolio of Hard FM and M&E projectsStrong technical skills with a proven ability to manage complex engineering projectsClient-focused, with the ability to manage client relationships effectivelyDelivering projects that meet technical specifications and client expectationsFamiliarity with relevant statutory regulations, including CDM and H&S proceduresDemonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projectsStrong skills in managing client relationships, with a focus on technical communicationProven ability to lead and motivate technical teams to deliver high-quality workSkilled in identifying and managing technical risks associated with engineering projectsEnsuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standardsManaging client relationships effectively to ensure continued satisfaction and project successFlexibility in work schedule to align to project schedule, ensuring quality assurance & sign offMaintaining compliance with all relevant engineering standards and regulationsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skillsDecisive with a proactive approach to problem-solvingStrong communication skills, both written and verbalQualifications required:Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering)Project Management qualifications (APM, PMI, Prince2) - Highly desirableWhat we offerWorking with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
