Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Waste Management company to recruit an Environmental Infrastructure Manager for a group role based in Cheltenham.
The Environmental Infrastructure Manager role comes with a starting salary of up to �44,600.

Responsibilities and duties
As Environmental Infrastructure Manager you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring the environmental control and management systems are efficiently run and maintained to achieve regulatory compliance.
* Fully understand the environmental management and monitoring infrastructure in place to allow ongoing assessment of performance.
* Managing gas utilisation plants to ensure optimal levels of gas capture
* Investigate environmental compliance issues, to formulate solutions and action plans.
* Managing contractors including inductions, supervision, monitoring and assistance where required.
* Being aware of the clients Management Systems, ensuring that any works apply by the requirements of ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO50001.
* Communicating with the Environmental Agency and other regulatory bodies.
* Liaising with other teams within the business, looking at potential opportunities of different carbon reduction and power generation technologies and preparing any necessary business cases.
* Taking the role of Project Manager during works on site.
* Travel to other sites within the group (c. 2h radius) as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A degree in relevant discipline is desirable but not essential
* Background in Landfill Gas Management
* Experience managing projects, incl. liaising with supplier, creating business case and seeing project through to completion.
* Any experience with Environmental Permits / communicating with the Environmental Agency would be ideal.
* Full Driving License
