We are looking for a Band 5 Registered General Nurse (Bank) to join our friendly, inclusive and forward thinking District Team.

The District Nursing Team works across the West Lancashire area providing care and support to patients in community settings.

The team is based out of Clayton House in Burscough.

Main ResponsibilitiesTo work as part of the 24-hour district nursing service, under the direction of the District Nursing Team Manager / Leader, providing high quality holistic care to patients.

The District Nurse role carries delegated responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based nursing to patients in their own homes.

To assume delegated responsibility for the supervision of the team in the absence of the District Nursing Team Leader, when required.
The Ideal CandidateYou will have 


Degree/Diploma in health-related area or equivalent experience
First level registered nurse Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team / multiagency working
You need to have knowledge and experience of undertaking complex assessments and the planning and evaluation of care package
Excellent Communication, both written and verbal
Evidence of effective interpersonal skills
Clinical Risk assessment skills
Ability to problem solve and make clinical decisions Understanding of NMC standards and implications to practice
Ability to work independently in community setting
High clinical standards

You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
