Responsibilities and duties
As the Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for:
* Underground cable laying, jointing, and terminations for voltages up to 33kV.
* Installing, jointing, and terminating low and high voltage power cables (LV, 11kV, 33kV).
* Connecting cables to substations and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
* Collaborating with project managers, supervisors, and electricians to ensure efficient project execution.
* Completing accurate documentation, including job reports, risk assessments, and test certificates.
* Adhering to safety regulations and company HSEQ processes, including following DNO/IDNO safety rules.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Existing DNO/IDNO authorisations.
* Technical training in jointing and terminations.
* Proven experience as a Cable Jointer in the electrical industry.
* Certificate in non-licensed asbestos removal.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and proficiency with cable jointing tools.
* A valid UK driving licence is essential.

Salary and benefits of the Cable Jointer role:
* Salary of �40,000 - �50,000 DOE
* Company van and fuel card.
* 30 days annual leave (inclusive of company shutdown days).
