Astute’s Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a leading installer of domestic and commercial scale Solar PV and BESS, with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Solar Project Manager for it’s Chesham office in Buckinghamshire.

The strategically important Solar Project Manager comes with a salary up to �45,000, with a �400 per month car allowance, 33 days annual leave, laptop and phone alongside a personalised development plan.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the General Manager you will:

* Oversee the delivery of Solar PV systems for both residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Ensure all installations meet the highest quality standards and adhere to the latest regulations.
* Ensure all projects comply with current Health & Safety regulations.
* Conduct site assessments (if required) to verify that installations can be built according to the agreed design.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Managers, Designers, Electrical Engineers, and Installers (in-house or subcontractors), to ensure smooth project execution.
* Use software tools like EasyPV, OpenSolar, and PVsol to create accurate solar PV layouts and simulations.
* Optimize system designs for maximum efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, taking into account customer needs and preferences.
* Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in Solar PV design and engineering.
* Provide regular updates on project progress, highlighting any potential delays.
* Communicate promptly with clients to manage contracts.
* Ensure that milestone sales invoices are issued promptly and any contract variations are documented and recovered.
* Support the development and pricing of bids for larger projects.



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Demonstrable project management experience in delivering rooftop mounted solar – domestic to commercial scale.
* PV design, using tools such as AutoCAD, EasyPV, OpenSolar or PVSol (or similar solar design software) is essential.
* Excellent knowledge of electrical and/or solar industry standards.
* Experience or knowledge in bidding processes.
* A Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
