We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Control Supervisor to join our busy team at Brandon Hire Station in Bristol. Reporting in to the Accounting Services Manager, your key responsibilities will be to ensure your team are performing all key accounts receivable processes accurately to the highest standard for our internal and external customers.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure customers adhere to their payment terms through effective management of team membersOverseeing effectiveness of the team in terms of debtor daysDevelop customer relationships to improve the service delivered by the credit control teamBuild strong relationships with internal customers in addition to other agenciesWorking with the credit control team to pro-actively ensure that overdue debt, due debt and unallocated cash are dealt with in a timely manner in addition to ensuring queries are resolvedEnsure overdue accounts are escalated to the legal team in a timely mannerProvide accurate and timely fiscal information to the Finance team on a monthly basisResponsible for carrying out the Month and Year End processingOwnership and accountability for your allocated ledger, being pro-active in managing the collection and resolution of the debt and individual queriesImproving percentage of debts paid to terms, reducing the aged debt profileEscalation of accounts in line with agreed collection pathsReduction of debt over ninety days overdue, taking ownership of escalating aged queriesAllocation of any unallocated cashPerformance and Development reviews carried out on a regular basis using the company’s performance and development process.Ensure individuals are trained and developed effectively to be able to carry out their rolesWhat We’re Looking ForAccounts receivable experience essentialExperience of managing a team desirableFlexible approach to working hours especially at month/year endIntermediate Excel skills essentialProficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmesDemonstrate experience of working with internal customers at all levelsExperience of using and creating pivot tables and lookups is desirableICM level 3 (or studying towards) would be desirableWhat We Can Offer YouCompetitive salaryMonday to Friday working, no weekendsSalary sacrifice pension25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysAdditional holiday purchase schemeFree Tool HireLife Assurance cover 3x salaryShare save schemeEye care vouchersRecommend a friend schemeLearning & Development – commitment to upskilling and developing our people, structured in house training available alongside external training where requiredCycle to work schemeLong service recognitionMy Vp discounts – a variety of discounts and rewards on thousands of well-known brandsDiscounts on HP productsEE mobile contract discount offersGym discountsHealth Shield (discounted premiums on health care cash plan)Regit Assist 24/7 accident helpline – free joiningA Little Bit About UsBrandon Hire Station is the leading provider of tool and equipment hire in the UK.Our commitment to exceptional customer support services is unmatched in the industry.
