We have partnered with a globally renowned manufacturing organisation who are looking to appoint a HSE Manager. This opportunity will give you the chance to shape and influence the company's Health and Safety culture across this fast-paced site in Birmingham, with the support of a wider safety team who will report to you.
Reporting directly to the Plant Director and collaborating closely with the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of all HSE initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation, who have a strong name in its field and is looking to appoint an engaging and proactive individual, to take HSE to the next level.
The HSE Manager will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement the HSE strategy across the site
- You will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will be
- You will drive cultural change, bringing HSE to the forefront
- Coaching, managing and developing various senior stakeholders will be essential
- Ensure standards are met and continually improved upon
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Development of safety team
The HSE Manager will have:
- Must have experience of working within fast paced manufacturing (automotive would be advantageous)
- NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification, ideally Diploma
- IEMA Qualification
- Knowledge of PUWER and COSHH
- Knowledge of management systems of ISO 45001, 14001
- Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
- Personality, influencing skills and engagement are crucial
