Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational Environments. Our Ingfield Manor provision caters for students aged 3—19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, Ingfield Manor School focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills.
We are looking for a Conductor to be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of agreed aims and programmes for groups of students (in either primary, secondary or sixth form) reflecting the Conductive Education ethos of the school, and to be a member of a trans-disciplinary team. We offer staff a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training to ensure everyone is provided with the best possible start to their employment
About The Role
To be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of agreed aims and programmes for studentsacross a department, reflecting the Conductive Education ethos of the school, as a member of atransdisciplinary team
To develop conductive education practice within a department and take responsibility for ensuring thatthe overall aims and ethos of the school are implementedTo contribute to the planning and delivery of a strategy promoting function and independence inpupils, to enable and support their learning.
Hours 40 hours per week. Term time only (39 weeks per year); Permanent
Salary £32,500 - £38,000 (FT 52wks £37,892 - £44 ,305)
• To develop, implement, and lead Conductive Education practice
• To support the budget and to make funding recommendations and requests to Senior LeadershipTeam
• To ensure the learning environment is adequately resourced to:
o promote independence
o deliver the curriculum to ensure pupil learning and progress
o maintain excellent standards of care
o ensure health and safety and compliance with policies and procedures
• To implement group and individual independence programmes in collaboration with the otherprofessionals and to be involved in associated planning and preparation and share expertise andknowledge
• To be involved in whole school training in Conductive Education, including supportingthe development of Conductor Assistants
To provide exemplary modelling of effective planning, leading and development of holistic Conductive Education practice
• To monitor, evaluate and assess pupil progress and learning in order to inform planning and identify individual needs
• To ensure that appropriate planning and record keeping accurately reflect the pupils’ progress towards meeting their goals
• To plan for dynamic learning environments and ensure the learning environment is adequately resourced to promote function, independence and application of skills
• To encourage, and be an active participant in, communication with parents and guardians
• To maintain good standards of physical and emotional care and be involved in all aspects of the pupils’ day
• To provide intimate care
• To ensure that high standards are set for the presentation, safety and hygiene of the working environment and maintenance of equipment
• To contribute to and attend annual reviews, parent meetings, etc
• To maintain good external professional liaison
• To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably determined by the Principal.

• To work seamlessly across departments and/or teams in a collaborative and constructive manner to implement the school’s strategic direction.
