We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist (Millers) to join our dynamic team at Prestwick Aerospace Park in Ayrshire.
As a CNC Machinist (Millers), your primary responsibilities will include programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machinery to perform both internal and external milling of components as per customer drawings. You'll also operate manual milling machinery, utilise inspection equipment to ensure precise adherence to sizes, tolerances, and surface finishes, and play a critical role in meeting our customers' needs through your meticulous work.
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday:
* Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 1pm
* Early Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6am - 2pm, Friday, 6am - 11am
* Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2pm - 10pm, Friday, 11am - 4pm
* Early and Back shifts are rotating, following a training period on day shift
CNC Machinist (Millers) Requirements:
* Apprenticeship/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
* Time-served Miller with minimum 3 years CNC experience
* Experience of programming and operating CNC Milling machines
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* Knowledge of Fanuc programming language
* Self-motivated with an eye for detail and effective communication skills
* Ability to hit the ground running and enjoy working within a small skilled team
* Customer Service experience is essential, along with excellent people skills
* Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK
