You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.For more information on Sodexo Careers please visit Sodexo CareersMain ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies, assessments, and teaching and learning strategies within the department.Oversee the day-to-day management, control, and operation of course provision within the department, ensuring effective deployment of staff and physical resources.Actively monitor and follow up on learner attendance and progress by analysing and evaluating performance data, taking appropriate follow-up actions as needed.Stay informed about and respond to national developments in subject areas, teaching practices, and methodologies, providing training to staff during CPD sessions.Teach up to 50% of the working week, delivering English and maths to Level 2, including embedded English and maths, and cover lessons as required.Please see attached job description for further information regarding the role requirementsThe Ideal CandidateEssential:• Full teaching qualification, including QTLS.• Recognised Level 4 qualification or higher in basic/functional skills English or maths.• An interest in the rehabilitation and resettlement of offenders.• The ability to communicate effectively at all times, across various mediums, including spoken and written communication.• Supervisory experience in an educational setting.• Knowledge of assessment processes and awarding bodies.• Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.• Flexibility to undertake a variety of different tasks.Desirable:• Experience of teaching or working with disadvantaged groups or in a young offender or prison environment.• IQA qualification or experience in the role of internal verifier.Package DescriptionSalary £41,777.12 + £3,729.24 (LW) per annum.Working Hours:37.5 hours (Regular Monday – Friday pattern)Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.You’ll belong in a company and team that values you for you; you’ll act with purpose and have an impact through your everyday actions; and you’ll be able to thrive in your own way.
