We are seeking a dedicated Service Manager to lead and manage the North & North East Lincolnshire Dermatology Services. As a key member of our operational team, you will work collaboratively with the General Manager, Clinical Lead, Lead Nurse, Team Leader, and Cancer & Administration Manager to ensure patients and colleagues are at the heart of the services you oversee. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, and operational management to achieve contractual objectives, enhance patient experiences, and meet key performance indicators.

This role will primarily be based at the Cromwell Road site (DN31 2BH), with an expectation to work twice a week at The Ironstone Centre (DN15 6HY). While the role is largely site-based, there is flexibility to work one day a week from home. The standard working pattern is Monday to Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week, though the service operates six days a week (Monday to Saturday).

Main Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management: Recruit, coach, and develop a well-resourced team, ensuring staff are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and support to deliver excellent patient care. Oversee performance management, appraisals, and colleague development while fostering an open, engaging workplace culture.
Operational Oversight: Maintain and enhance administrative systems to support efficiency and productivity in collaboration with the Cancer & Administration Manager. Ensure statutory and organisational timelines and standards are consistently met.
Data and Performance Management: Monitor and improve data quality, ensuring accuracy in internal and external reporting of key performance indicators, particularly for cancer-related datasets. Support the development of processes and SOPs to address data quality issues.
Communication and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity, sensitivity, and professionalism in all communications. Represent the administration function in meetings and provide guidance on IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Judgment and Problem Solving: Use sound judgment to resolve general issues and escalate complex matters appropriately, ensuring operational and contractual objectives are met effectively.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications and Experience:


Proven experience managing staff and handling HR processes.
Skilled in financial and budget management with a track record of working to KPIs and producing evidence-based reports.
Qualification in line management or supervision, or significant relevant experience.
Willingness to complete registration as a CQC Registered Manager.



Skills and Knowledge:


Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage colleagues and service users verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with accurate IT and keyboard skills.
Exceptional planning, prioritisation, and delegation abilities to manage workloads in a dynamic environment.
Negotiation and influencing skills to build strong working relationships.

You will need regular access to a car, as frequent travel between our sites is an essential part of the role.
