About the Role
As a Band 6 Children's Community Nurse, you will:
* Provide high-quality, personalised care to children and young people with acute or chronic health conditions.
* Develop and implement tailored care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare professionals.
* Deliver treatments, administer medications, and conduct interventions in line with clinical guidelines.
* Educate families to promote child development and well-being.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, schools, social services, and specialists.
* Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring patient safety and timely care.
* Maintain precise and up-to-date clinical records.
* Offer expert advice to families, guiding them through specific conditions and NHS services.
* Participate in clinical audits and initiatives to enhance service quality.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Registered Nurse (Child) with NMC Registration.
* Minimum 1 years' experience as a Band 5/6 in pediatric or community settings.
* Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
* Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding protocols and their application.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for community visits.
Desirable:
* Experience with long-term conditions, palliative care, or managing complex needs.
* Training in IV therapy, wound care, or related clinical skills.
* Familiarity with NHS systems and electronic patient record management.
