As a Mobile Catering Supervisor at Sodexo covering various Approved Premises around the North East. You'll be responsible for up to 12 sites within the region. You'll supervise your catering team closely, You'll interact with your team and our clients daily, and you'll be improving the quality of life in everyone you meet!
Approved Premises (APs) contribute to the effective risk management of people released from prison by providing an enhanced level of supervision, monitoring and rehabilitation within the community. The post will provide you experience of working with complex and vulnerable people and an understanding of residential setting within the Criminal Justice System. What you’ll do:
Carry out safety walks, conversation and to supervise Safety standards, across area of responsibility thereby ensuring that our people and customers are always kept safe, whilst ensuring the site folder is up to date with all new and relevant policies.
Play an active part in the frontline team recruitment process.
Deliver all mandatory training within a given timeline and support with additional training needs to the front-line teams.
Ensure effective force management that we have full coverage whilst monitoring attendance / absence and following policy and procedures around triggers and absence management.
Ensure staff records are accurately maintained and HR issues are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with Legislation and Company policy.
Conducting Safety management system audits for example- monthly/3 monthly on food safety
Visit sites across the region (minimum of 3 sites a week) to conduct routine welfare visits for all staff throughout the area of responsibility.
Act as a first point of contact to address any issues that arise on site, from client or customer in a timely manner.
To carry out any other reasonable tasks and/or instructions as directed by line manager.
What you bring:
Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of catering/allergens/basic cooking skills, as well as some team leading experience.
Minimum of 2 years driving experience and over the age of 25 (Manual).
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
