An opportunity is available for two LV only Craftsperson Jointers based at Stoke on Trent.
In this role you will be required to undertake Jointing techniques up to 1000V, including excavation, cable laying, reinstatement and fault location on LV cables.
Candidates are required to have grade A*-G/1-9 GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent qualification deemed to be at the same level in these subjects.
Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.

The Ideal CandidateThe successful applicant will ideally have experience working on the underground network and a NRSWA qualification is desirable.
If not already completed, the successful candidate will be required to complete TAR (Tasks & Reports) which includes daily diary page completion, and a number of tasks and reports as required.
You must be able to work on your own initiative as part of a small team, making on the spot decisions as required and working to tight deadlines. A flexible attitude is essential, as you will be required to undertake other duties to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
The successful candidate will need to be mobile throughout the area as may be required to undertake standby duties, therefore a full UK driving licence is required.
Candidates must live within 60 minutes of the Stoke Depot for operational reasons.

This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service (DBS) check. Depending on the role, different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
