Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Contract Duration : Initial 2-month contract, with potential extensions
Location : Greater Manchester / Northwest
Rate : Up to �34.00 per hour, dependent on experience (Limited Company - Outside IR35 / PAYE / Umbrella)
Shifts : Panama Days and Nights
Industry Focus : High-Speed Machinery / Automation
We are currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a contract role with a prestigious client based in Greater Manchester. The company is a leader in the design and production of secure documents, including currency and other high-security items, renowned for its innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
* Oversee reactive breakdowns and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to maintain the efficient operation of electrical systems.
* Work with critical electrical systems, such as motors, control panels, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and automated machinery.
* Ensure adherence to safety standards within a high-volume, fast-paced industrial production environment.
* Accurately log and report maintenance and operational data according to internal protocols.
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing system reliability and plant performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
* Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
* Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including control panels, PLCs, motors, and automation.
* Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, especially within high-speed, automated settings.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a focus on system improvements and reliability.
* Site Safety Card - CSCS / CCNSG.
