For further details regarding our Sodexo benefits please see attached.What the Job Looks Like:As a Programmes Facilitator at HMP Forest Bank, you will be at the forefront of delivering interventions designed to challenge and change offender behaviour. Working closely with participants, you’ll facilitate structured group sessions, tailored one-to-one support, and provide guidance to help individuals achieve key learning outcomes.Your role will involve thorough planning, preparation, and evaluation of each session, ensuring adherence to the programme manual and Ministry of Justice guidelines. As a Key Worker, you’ll provide personalised support to up to four participants per course, helping them review and progress against their individual care plans. You’ll also contribute to the assessment of potential participants, monitor their progress, and deliver detailed reports to parole boards and probation services.This role requires empathy, resilience, and a genuine belief in the capacity for change. You’ll need to be adaptable and able to respond to challenging behaviour, while promoting diversity and inclusivity within the programme.Please see the attached job description for a more detailed list of the main responsibilities.The Ideal Candidate:Essential competencies:A good level of numeracy and literacy.Strong interpersonal skills with an empathic and genuine approach.Excellent planning, organisational, and attention-to-detail abilities.A keen interest in rehabilitation and the substance misuse field.Ability to deal with challenging behaviour and adapt to different learning styles.Proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.Desirable but not required:Relevant experience in criminology, community services, or a justice-related role.Prior experience in group facilitation or one-to-one support work.Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles.A passion for promoting rehabilitation and positive change.Whilst the ideal candidate would fit into the above points, we would implore applicants with the relevant transferrable skills to apply for this role, as you may still be a great fit!Why Join Us?At Sodexo, our purpose is to create a better every day for everyone to build a better life for all.
