What is the job role?We are looking for an experienced and talented Teaching Assistant who would like to help and support pupils with their well-being and learning in school. The successful candidate will assist teachers by supporting pupils in lessons and delivering interventions.
Our pupils are a pleasure to teach. St Christopher is a well organised school and school leaders ensure that teachers and teaching assistants can be focussed on ensuring pupils have high quality teaching and support.

Who are we looking for?The successful candidate will ideally have:
• At least two years of experience working as a teaching assistant.
• A GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
• Have gained a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Trained in teaching phonics (ideally RWI)
As part of the interview process candidates will be expected to carry out a task with pupils and complete a basic written task.
The post will initially be based in Key Stage 2.
