Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading innovator in renewable energy production, specialising in biogas plants, to recruit a Maintenance Technician for their site in Girvan, Ayrshire

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will:
* Ensure Maintenance Plan is in place to meet legal, compliance and output requirements and to protect the clients assets.
* Responsibility for ensuring maintenance plan is adhered to and performance reported on every month.
* Ensure that forward planning for the Permit to Work system is adhered to and that all site personnel utilise the PTW system.
* Ensure appropriate level of spare parts are defined and maintained in stock. Be involved in and maintain FMECA study. Frequently assess and review spare parts for suitability
* Provide a monthly summary report of Maintenance performance, on time each month and as requested by Site Leader. Report as a minimum on Compliance, Quality, Volume/Yield, Costs, People, any other KPI’s Risks/Opportunities, AOB
* Be part of the on-call structure for the site.
* Able to assist hands on with maintenance tasks as required
* Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Qualified to a minimum of HND Level in and Engineering discipline (or equivalent) Or can fully demonstrate comparable experience
* Full UK Driving license (essential)
* IOSH (preferred)
Personal skills
The Maintenance Technician role would suit someone who has:
* At least 2 years’ experience within anaerobic digestion or a similar processing environment
* Experience of working under remit of a quality management system and/or compliance quality standards e.g., PAS110, ISO 9001, FSSC 22001
* Experience working under a Quality Management System (QMS)
* Experience within a similar industry working under the remit of COMPEX/ATEX regulations
