You will have a core role in driving portfolio governance, quality assurance of portfolio delivery & performance, and ensuring alignment to strategic outcomes. You will lead a team to provide regular analysis, insight and reporting, and will be instrumental in enabling decision making across the portfolio. re.The team you will be joining,You will join our change team as a senior leader, leading the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) team, focused on providing insight across the portfolio, as well as enabling practices and providing tools to ensure delivery is aligned to strategy and that the Society’s investment and value delivered to members and colleagues is maximised.We work closely with all teams across the business including Value Stream and ART leadership with core responsibilities in defining and driving effective portfolio governance, value delivery, resource, capacity & demand management, and performance & benefits tracking.What’s In It For You?Skipton values work/life balance and we are proud to support hybrid and flexible working, where possible. to mobilise metrics and KPI tracking across the SocietyEstablish the appropriate reporting mechanisms from Portfolio to Team level e.g. quarterly planning memosImplement the agile governance framework across VS/ARTs (including transition of Savings Transformation to Agile ways of Working in H1)Create an EPMO delivery roadmap for 2025Define approach and delivery roadmap for integrated tooling suiteWhat Do We Need From You?Determine and implement appropriate governance (operational) across the portfolio e.g. VS/ ART cadences, ensuring alignment into LPM/ strategic governance.Ensure robust reporting is in place across the VS/ARTs that helps to drive progress and generate insight that ensures we are focusing on work that delivers the most value and we can make the appropriate prioritisation calls where required.Work with the rest of the Change team to refine processes and standards, and ensure the relevant tooling and templates are in place to enable the execution of Change Framework and enhance delivery.Manage the EPMO supporting colleagues to grow and develop in their roles.Overall accountability for enabling the following via the EPMO team:Governance, assurance and alignment to Strategy: Work in partnership with Group Corporate Planning Team, Change Team and Finance Team to govern and measure the effectiveness of the change portfolio and its overall performance.Establish and EPMO Standards & Governance setting and provide ongoing QA of Change approach including sharing best practice, tools and techniques.Capacity, Resource & Demand Management: understand and track capacity and resource demand and allocation across the portfolio (including Change vs BAU).Agile ways of working enablement: support and enable the EPMO team (value management incl. investment track
ing, people portfolio and planning) to deliver value across the business and ensure stakeholders are aware of the service offering.Financial management: track and report on VS/ART financial forecasts and spend, providing visibility of deviations, understanding the rationale and working with leadership to establish the appropriate course of action.Metrics, Insight and Reporting – ensure Value Streams and ARTs have established KPIs aligned to delivery. Track progress across the portfolio and provide insight into emerging risks or blockers to senior leadership. Enable effective RAIDD management so that challenges are identified, escalated and resolved.Leadership and strategy: Be a servant leader to a diverse team – both direct reports, wider Value Management team and also wider change community. Role model and champion agile leadership, helping to drive performance through stretching goals and enabling career pathways for colleagues. Actively develop and own the EPMO / Value Management team strategy and ensure the team is prioritising effectively, delivering value and providing insight across the portfolio.
