Our aim is to provide emotional and practical support to women and their children living in the community, who have or who may still be experiencing domestic abuse. To support access to the service and to enable and enhance each client's quality of life by promoting/maintaining independent living for themselves and any dependents they may have.A day in this role looks like….As an Administrator at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Domestic Abuse Support service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding
them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:Process incoming referrals to our servicesLiaise with referrers and team members as required and respond to queries efficientlyRespond to enquiries received via our phone or admin email accountWork as part of a team to ensure the phone line is answered at times advertised.Provide one-off/short term support to survivors calling the phone line, such as listening, information about available services, basic safety advice.Input information to spreadsheets and our case management systemDevelop our administrative processes to improve effectivenessWork with and provide support to the wider team as requiredWork across the Newham service teams to oversee new referrals into HestiaAcknowledge receipt of new referrals and liaise with referrer if information is missing for further information is required for the referral to be processed. Upload all new referrals onto (case management system), creating new clients and embedding all relevant information including referral documentation and demographic information. Ensure clients who wish to engage are allocated to the appropriate team and clear communication is provided where clients are assessed as high risk. Work in partnership with voluntary and statutory organisations, maintaining good working relationships with external agencies and keeping up to date with local resources and services available to clients.
