We are on the look out for a Bank Catering assistant to join our Catering department based at St. Martin’s Hospital.
The Catering assistant will undertake a range of duties including providing meals as well as snacks and sandwiches (made in house) for our service users. You will help support the team in meeting the needs of the Catering service and complement the delivery of service user care by our clinical staff.
As a Catering assistant, you will ensure the department meet the required cleaning standards and ensure a HACCP plan is followed in relation to food delivery, preparation, cooking and serving.
Our Catering Service operates every day of the year, from 08:45am to 6:00pm, offering consistent support to our service users and staff.

Main Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring they are ready on time and meet the specified content and quality standards.
Adhere to portion control guidelines as outlined by the Hotel Services Manager.
Follow the department's cleaning schedule within the catering block, including the changing room, to maintain high cleanliness standards.
Serve meals to service users at ward level as required, including daily dinner service, ensuring food temperatures are recorded and meet required standards.
Wear the provided catering PPE/uniform, maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times, and uphold excellent personal hygiene in line with quality standards.
Organise and prepare graded meals according to patients’ menu choices, ensuring they are ready for serving and delivery to the wards.
