This CHP Operator role comes with a an hourly rate of �13-14.50 per hour + 30% shift allowance + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the CHP Manager, you will:
* Perform routine operations and maintenance tasks to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency and availability.
* Manage material handling processes, including operating heavy machinery such as loaders, telehandlers, and forklifts.
* Monitor and maintain key systems, including belt dryers, walking floors, and silos, to ensure optimal heat and power delivery.
* Conduct quality control activities such as sampling fuel moisture content, calorific values, and residue density.
* Respond to system alarms and adjust operational set points as required.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to scheduled maintenance tasks to support 24/7 plant operation.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* A relevant engineering qualification is desirable.
* Experience in a similar heavy industry such in an operations position.
Personal skills
The CHP Operator role would suit someone who:
* Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships.
* Thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is confident working at heights or with heavy machinery.
Salary and benefits of the CHP Operator role
* �13-14.50 per hour + 30% shift allowance paid on all shifts.
* 4 on 4 off, days and nights, 12 hour days.
