This dynamic role requires close collaboration with teams in Warehousing, Transport and Central Support functions to foster a proactive safety culture.You will act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and hands-on support to regional teams to drive continuous health and safety performance improvement.Main ResponsibilitiesRole Specific:Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and practices in line with ArrowXL’s company-wide standards.Promote a safety-first culture through training, communication and leading by example.Ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety legislation, including conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.Provide recommendations and implement solutions to mitigate risk and prevent incidents.Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities and incidents, ensuring timely reporting.Act as a key point of contact in your region for health and safety matters across Warehousing, Transport, and central support functions.Work closely with hub managers and broader teams to embed health and safety as a core operational priority.Investigate accidents and near-misses thoroughly, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.Produce detailed reports and present findings to senior leadership when required.Identify and implement best practices to enhance safety performance across all regional functions.Monitor safety metrics and use data to drive decision-making and improve processes.Work closely with other Regional H&S Manager to ensure consistent approach to H&S throughout the business.General:Is independent in exercising professional knowledge without close supervisionSolves problems according to experience, analyses possible solutions and provides suggestions for improvement under defined parametersEffectively manages time so that deadlines are met both individually and as a teamAct upon any feedback from your line manager concerning individual and/or team performance.Be responsible for and undertake continual learning and development informally and formally, ensuring a clear understanding of the business and cross-functional priorities.Can prioritise workload to align with operational needs to help ensure H&S remains front and centre across all functions, all shifts across 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.The Ideal CandidateExperience:An established H&S Manager with experience in a similar role.Previous experience working in a Health and Safety role within a logistics or similar fast-paced environment, ideally across multiple sites.Experienced in delivering H&S-related training: COSHH, Fire Marshal, Accident Investigation, Chemical Spill kit and Drug and Alcohol Testing.Essential Skills and Attributes:Strong stakeholder management skills, able to navigate the corporate landscape, quickly establish credibility and build effective, collaborative, working relationships at all levelsStrong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and best practice.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilitiesComfortable working as a small team and managing multiple priorities.Resilient and adaptable, with a focus on delivering results.Role Specific Requirements:NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalentTechnical member of IOSHKnowledge of iAuditor (safety culture)
