We are looking for a passionate and skilled Specialty Grade Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Health to join our team on a part-time basis (32 hours per week).

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing patient-centred care, including Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) procedures, STI management, and PrEP/PEPSE consultations. With access to expert consultant support and a dedicated team of specialist nurses and administrative staff, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on sexual health services across Greater Manchester.

Our Integrated Sexual Health Service in Oldham, Bury, and Rochdale is dedicated to empowering individuals to enjoy positive sexual health and wellbeing. We provide free, confidential, and non- judgemental services, offering contraception, STI testing and treatment, and psychosexual management. As a “Level 3” integrated contraception and sexual health service, we combine expertise in Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) and Community Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Main Responsibilities
Deliver six clinical sessions per week, including one supporting programmed activity session.
Provide appointment-based and walk-in clinics for:

Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) procedures
Testing and management of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), including PEPSE and PrEP consultations


Conduct booked appointments from clinical team referrals, GPs, and direct patient bookings, as well as non-booked walk-in clinics.
Work collaboratively within the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), supported by three consultants and specialist nurses.
Potential requirement to deliver one evening clinic per week.
Participate in Clinical Governance, Clinical Audit, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) to maintain high standards of practice.
Maintain accurate and secure patient records, ensuring compliance with record-keeping and data protection policies.
Support the collection and management of high-quality clinical data, ensuring adherence to national standards.
Develop and maintain basic IT skills to effectively use clinical and administrative systems.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications & Registration:


Basic medical qualification registrable in the UK
GMC registration with a clear licence to practise
DFSRH and DipGUM (or equivalent)
MFSRH qualification



Clinical Skills & Competencies:


Letter of Competence in Intrauterine Contraception (IUC) or equivalent
Letter of Competence in Sub-dermal Implants or equivalent
Ultrasound special skills qualification (including gynaecological scanning)
Experience in soft tissue (deep implant) removal
Specialist skills in sexual and reproductive health

Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
