Job Title: Rail Project Manager
Location: Glasgow
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
About the Role:
As a Rail Project Manager you’ll play a vital role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of rail projects. This includes ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also manage operations within our rail division, with a focus on site lighting across Glasgow and across the northern region
What You’ll Do:
Manage site lighting and rail projects across the northern region
Coordinate shift arrangements and operational tasks for the team.
Monitor and control lighting costs, ensuring financial targets are met.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Oversee project budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all project work meets industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring obligations are met and resolving any issues.
Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and provide regular status reports to senior management.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring they are documented, approved, and communicated.
What You’ll Need:
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation to completion, within the tool hire, construction, or rail industry.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Experience in managing project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenditures, and meeting financial targets.
Commercially astute and performance-focused, ensuring people strategy supports company growth.
