Financial Processes Officer (Banking)(RP0017)Starting salary £29,802 pro rata with potential progression to £32,956 pro rata on achieving designated skills and experience14.5 hours per week (hybrid working)We are looking for a Financial Processes Officer (Banking) to join our Financial Services team. We are open to discussion around how the 14.5 hours are worked each week.You will be working within a team to deliver a broad range of financial activities relating to banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.Your area of focus will be banking, but you will work with the other Financial Processes Officers to support other areas when required to meet the team’s objectives.You will ensure that income is allocated to the appropriate accounts using the Council’s financial system for your investigations. You will import and process bank files, files from different portals and cash and cheques via the financial system. You will also be responsible for answering queries either by phone, email, or face to face from colleagues across the Council about banking/income related matters.We are looking for someone who hasPrevious experience of working in a financial environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle face-to-face and telephone queriesThe ability to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines and be able to work both independently and as part of a teamExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentialityThe ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.Closing date for applications is 2March 2025.Remote assessments will be held on 10 March 2025.Interviews will be held 18 March 2025.
