We are seeking a dedicated En-suite Cleaner to join our team at Sodexo at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester, providing a high standard of cleaning services in buildings and facilities occupied by military and civilian personnel. If you take pride in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene to a professional standard, this role is perfect for you.
What you’ll do:
Clean and maintain en-suite bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
Clean accommodation blocks, offices, and workshop areas
Vacuum carpeted areas, including stairs.
Wipe down kitchen surfaces and damp-mop floors as needed.
Clean bathrooms and ablution areas, including baths, showers, urinals, toilets, and sinks.
Replenish consumables such as toilet rolls, soap, and paper hand towels.
Use buffing machines on required floors.
Spot-clean carpets and use a carpet cleaning machine as directed.
Clean skirting boards, frames, and window sills.
Report any maintenance issues or damages.
Perform other/ad hoc duties as required at any time.
Follow all Sodexo Health & Safety and Quality Assurance processes and policies.
What you bring:
Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of cleaning solutions and their uses is desirable, but not essential- our great training will ensure you are fully trained in all areas of health and safety!
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Can work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed
Be a team player and take instruction
Some recent experience in commercial cleaning work required
Driving licence desirable but not essential
Comfortable using tools such as allen keys / screwdrivers etc.
