Our dedicated team in Warrington is expanding, and we're excited to welcome a talented Design Engineer (Multi-Utility) to our join us.As a Design Engineer (Multi-Utility) at Energetics (part of the Last Mile Group), you'll lead the charge from quote acceptance to design approval, collaborating with sales teams on technical matters and ensuring every design meets the highest standards for construction as part of our Energetics brand. You'll also handle the completion of bill of quantities, design variations, and costing in line with our commercial and financial procedures.What’s in it for you as a Design Engineer (Multi-Utility)?Here at Last Mile, we pride ourselves in providing a great range of benefits including a fantastic amount of annual leave, including a Christmas shut down.25 days holiday, increasing after 2 years by 1 day each year up to 30 days, plus 9 public holidaysHoliday buy schemeDiscretionary bonusEV and ULEV salary sacrifice scheme (subject to minimum length of service)Cycle to work salary sacrifice schemeUp to 7% employer pension contributionLife assurance (x4 annual basic salary)Refer a friend incentiveWagestreamEmployee assistance programmeCar allowanceHybrid working for eligible roles (3 days in the office, 2 from home) *Flexible start and finish times for eligible roles*Private medical insurance*Company sick pay**Some of our benefits are only applicable when you have successfully completed your probation period* Your responsibilities as a Design Engineer (Multi-Utility):Manage a portfolio of electric design projects ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and technical policies and bulletinsResponsible for managing all aspects of the design life-cycle from quotation to adoption, ensuring that time-bound milestones are achievedCreate cost effective solutions for domestic, industrial and commercial, EVCP and high rise developmentsLiaison with Design Engineers to ensure appropriate technical input and compliance with standards is achievedLiaise with internal and external stakeholders including Delivery Teams, Operations Team and DevelopersLiaise as required with external agencies including gas / electricity network operators and water companiesVerify contract against original quote, ensuring that assumptions, plant and equipment and non-contestable works are valid and within specification Experience / Knowledge:Experience of designing electrical projects in a range of domestic, industrial and commercial, EVCP and high rise sectorsExperience of CDM regulations and ability to interpret and apply to design solutionsPractical knowledge of relevant new roads and streetworks regulationsAbility to effectively understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and appropriate commercial documentationQualifications: (desired not essential)SHEA PowerHNC/Degree in an Engineering related disciplineRegistered to minimum EngTech level with IET Have you got the drive to go to the Last Mile as a Design Engineer (Multi-Utility)?
