What will you be doing?This position is based in Angel Square, Northampton. However, it offers flexible working arrangements, including remote work, office days, and service user home visits, as managed by the financial assessment team.
About Financial Assessments
Individuals receiving Adult Social Care might need to contribute financially based on their capital and income. This contribution is determined through a means-tested financial assessment, which is handled by the Financial Assessment Team.
Financial Assessment Officers assist service users (or their representatives) with completing the financial assessment form and ensure they understand the process.
The team manages their financial assessment caseloads and determines any required financial contributions in line with policies and legislation.
The responsibilities of the Team Leader will include, overseeing the financial assessment workflow for the service in a professional, customer-centric, and efficient way, leveraging a combination of people, processes, and technology.
About youThe role of the Team Leader will include:
Exhibiting expert knowledge of financial assessment policies and legislation, ensuring the team's compliance with their work
Proven experience in supervising, coaching, and mentoring less experienced colleagues and team members to help achieve both individual and team performance and development goals.
Providing daily line management for direct reports, with a focus on developing, appraising, and rewarding team members, as well as boosting morale, training, and performance.
Responding to and resolve complex requests and queries
Pinpoint areas within the service that could benefit from enhancements and make recommendations to boost efficiency, revenue, and customer experience.
