ATA are working with a Globally renowned leader in the design, manufacturing, and installation of advanced conveyor and automated handling systems. With over 8,000 employees in 30 countries worldwide, the business has a turnover excess of 1.6 billion euros. Their UK operations is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Projects to lead and oversee our projects across the UK. This role is pivotal in managing projects up to ?4M, primarily within the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from pre-project planning and design to installation, commissioning, and production support.
Head of Projects Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Oversee all stages of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Client Engagement: Collect, analyse, and respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and develop technical and commercial proposals.
* Sales and Margin Management: Ensure sales targets and profit margins are met across all projects.
* Subcontractor Management: Negotiate and manage subcontractors to ensure best practices and cost efficiency.
* Customer Loyalty: Maintain and enhance customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Business Development teams to expand the client portfolio and scope of activities.
* Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and support the commercial team.
* Resource Optimization: Manage workload and resource allocation to optimize project delivery.
The candidate:
To be successful in your application for the Head of Projects role, you will require:
* Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the conveying or handling systems industry, particularly within the automotive sector.
* Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills in mechanical, software & controls, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
* Project Management: Proven track record in project management, with excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
* Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and proactively.
* Results-Oriented: Target-driven and committed to achieving project objectives.
* Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a strong team spirit.
* Travel: Willingness to travel and work within a global team of professionals.
* Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD (read-only).
* Language Skills: Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French is an advantage.
