We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our LFC Foundation team as a Casual Girls YDP Academy Physiotherapist on a casual basis.What will you be doing?Provision of pitch side cover at tournaments, friendly, and league fixtures for the Girls AcademyProvision of pitch side cover at training sessions (evenings and weekends) for the Girls AcademyDiagnose and establish treatment/ rehabilitation plans for relevant players for the Girls AcademyProvision of treatment and rehabilitation services for injured players in the Girls AcademyLiaise with key stakeholders regarding player availability and progressTake part in CPD and attend in-house CPD trainingMaintain contemporaneous medical notes to an excellent standard on the WPS/Kitman Labs (Women’s Performance System)Ensure high levels of professionalism and patient confidentiality.Liaise with age group multi-disciplinary team staff to optimise player performance and overall healthCarry out and oversee all investigations as requiredAttend consultations with specialists to ensure that appropriate treatment decisions are made, if requestedMaintain contemporaneous medical notes to an excellent standard on the WPS (Women’s Performance System)Who are we looking for?To be successful in this role you will be a charted HCPC registered physiotherapist/sports therapist, including being a member of the health professional council. You must have recent relevant professional experience in a sports performance environment, as well as post-graduate experience of working in professional sports. You’ll hold an FA level 2 emergency first aid in football (EFAIF). You will have an understanding of pressures and commitments required for players and the support strategies for the player emotional needs.You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skill as well as demonstrate a reliable, conscientious and flexible approach/availability. You’ll have the ability to showcase role model behaviours and create an ethos which promotes high aspirations and achievement for all, including the ability to create positive working relationships with all key stakeholders. You will be able to work collaboratively in a team within a professional, pressurised environment and a willingness to work unsociable hours, including weekends. You will also have a willingness to undertake continued professional development organised by club.Why should you apply?This is a casual position, offering variable hours including evenings and weekends on a flexible assignment basis. Your main base our Academy, however the post holder will also be required to work from other locations across Merseyside from time to time and be willing to travel within England and Wales.
