Lay-up Operatives (Aerospace) - Immediate Start
Location: Blackburn
Pay Rate: �12.50 per hour + Overtime Available
Contract Length: 3 months+ (Temp-to-Perm Opportunities)
Shifts: Monday - Thursday Days (37 hours per week)
We are looking for experienced Lay-up Operatives to join a fast-growing aerospace manufacturer. If you have composite lay-up experience and want to work in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment, this is the perfect opportunity.
Responsibilities:
* Manual lay-up of composite materials (carbon fibre and glass fibre)
* Cutting, shaping, and applying materials onto molds and patterns
* Rolling, sealing, and preparing parts for curing
* Working in a temperature-controlled cleanroom with full PPE provided
* Following work instruction sheets and quality control processes
* Achieving daily production targets while maintaining precision and quality
Requirements:
* Experience in composite lay-up (carbon fibre, glass fibre, prepreg materials)
* Background in aerospace, aviation, or composite manufacturing (preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to wear cleanroom PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hairnets)
* Hardworking, reliable, and motivated
