The Unit Provides Sub Acute Care, Rehabilitation and End of Life care for the residents of Wiltshire. This is an innovative unit with an integrated multi-disciplinary team.
Clinical leadership is provided by a team of Consultant Nurses across the organisation, supporting the Clinical team of Doctors, ACPs, Therapists, Nurses, Support workers and Health Care Assistants, ensuring individual holistic care for the people we care for as well as support for their carers and families.
Ward Leadership is provided by the Senior Sister who has a strong belief in Compassionate Leadership. Supporting and Nurturing Staff to reach their full potential.

Main Responsibilities
Registered Nurse, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care. Supervising and supporting, Nursing Associates, Junior staff, and students. Completing audits and carrying out ward based staff training and inductions.
To work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines, to take responsibility for leading and overseeing the team of named/associate nurses who are responsible for the specialist assessment of care and health education needs of patients’ requiring rehabilitation, and also those with complex care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient.
Strong communication and organisation skills, along with a flexible approach, to ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.

The Ideal CandidateYou will be a NMC registered Nurse, you will have the ability to work both independently and also as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. It is expected that you should have strong communication and organisation skills and a flexible approach which will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
